A global challenge connecting innovators and changemakers to tackle real-world problems in health, agriculture, and climate resilience. Join a global open-source GenAI community of practice, learn about public sector use cases for generative AI, hear from public sector stakeholders and development partners, leverage the GENIE.AI framework to develop cost-efficient and scalable solutions, build and test functional prototypes, and get feedback and guidance from practitioners, public sector stakeholders, and development partners.
Powered by IEEE’s and ITU’s global reach, the GenAI for Good Challenge helps technologists and innovators team up with international partners, secure funding, connect with global networks, and build AI solutions with measurable impact on pressing global challenges.

Focus Areas
Lesotho – Agriculture Extension Chatbot: A mobile-friendly AI chatbot offering farmers and extension workers in Lesotho real-time agriculture advice, crop alerts, and market guidance—via voice, text, and basic phones.
The Gambia – Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Prevention Chatbot: A multilingual AI chatbot delivering evidence-based, personalization guidance to help Gambians prevent and manage chronic health risks like hypertension and tobacco use.
Bangladesh – Extreme Weather Advisor: An AI-powered assistant that helps Bangladeshi farmers prepare for droughts with localized weather alerts, water-saving tips, and crop-specific risk guidance.
